Here are some frequently asked questions and answers:

Is Ohio Technical College an accredited college?
Yes, OTC is accredited by ACCSCT (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology), which is a nationally recognized accrediting agency.  That means that all of our technical programs are available for federal financial aid and that OTC adheres to the strict accreditation guidelines.

Are OTC's programs ASE/NATEF or I-CAR certified?
Yes, our Automotive, Diesel and Auto-Diesel programs are ASE/NATEF certified and our Auto Body program is I-CAR certified and based on the curriculum provided by I-CAR. In addition, we encourage all of our students to become ASE and I-CAR certified and reimburse them when they pass their tests. Please see the program descriptions for more details.

Does OTC offer degree programs?
Absolutely. On top of our diploma and certificate programs, we offer Associate of Applied Science degrees in Diesel Equipment Technology and Auto-Diesel Technology. In addition, students can pursue a Bachelor's degree though our articulation agreement with Colorado State University-Pueblo.

How can I get a representative to visit my high school?
OTC prides itself on a family-oriented approach to education.  We have representatives in states across the midwest and northeast who would love a chance to talk to your students about the career potential in this high-demand field.  To have a representative contact you, please call 1.800.322.7000 or email us at info@ohiotechnicalcollege.com.

When do classes start?
Unlike typical 4-year colleges with only two starts per year, most of our programs start at least four times throughout the year.  Main start dates are in January, April, July, September and October.  Contact one of our admissions representatives for exact class start dates for the program you are interested in.

When can students enroll in the school?
Students can enroll at any time during their senior year, but there are several advantages to making a decision early in their senior year:

  • They will have the comfort of knowing their future plans are secured BEFORE completing their senior year and they will be able to enjoy the year.
  • They can participate in events that may be scheduled at the campus throughout the year.
  • The early enrollment may give students more opportunities to apply for available scholarships, including ones offered at the OTC campus.

Contact one of our admissions or administration representatives for more details on our programs.
